Expanding the Boundaries

In an increasingly technical age, NPCA works to continually improve quality throughout the precast concrete industry by offering courses that teach the latest in skills, techniques and processes. Members and nonmembers alike are welcome to reap the benefits of courses, and seminars for owners, managers, plant production workers, engineers and specifiers. Here is an overview of NPCA Education:

Association Leadership School
Association Leadership School is now available online. No live classes are scheduled for 2008. To sign up for the online course go to: http://www.precast.org/portal/

Production & Quality School
The Production & Quality School (PQS) is designed specifically for employees designated as Quality Control Inspectors and all precast plant employees who need a firm foundation of knowledge in precast concrete production. It is held in various cities and at various times throughout the year. This course is required for those seeking NPCA Plant Certification.

Annual Convention
Formerly known as the Industry Outlook Conference (IOC), the Annual Convention is held every fall, offers a precast-specific, focused learning atmosphere. The Annual Convention education sessions give precasters the tools to tackle future challenges and stay ahead of the competition. In addition to presenting nationally known speakers, Annual Convention education includes topical roundtable discussions that enable precasters to share common problems and discuss possible solutions.

The Precast Show Education
NPCA education courses are held in conjunction with The Precast Show are sponsored by NPCA and ACPA. Approximately 100 hours of education is offered. Courses are focused on administrative, managerial, advanced technical, production and quality tracks. Multiple-day schools are also offered.

Employee Education Record

Educational training is the wisest investment you can make in your employees to ensure their success on the job. In its continued commitment to provide members with valuable educational programming and resources, NPCA is pleased to offer an online database that allows company leaders to access the educational records for their employees at any time.

If your employees have completed an NPCA educational course since October 2000, you can track their history. It’s as simple as:

  • Clicking on the Members Only button on the NPCA Web site
  • Entering your company login and password. Please note your Company login is the login name you use to renew your dues online. Please contact NPCA at (800) 366-7731 with questions regarding your Company login.
  • Clicking on the Sign On button
  • Clicking on the Education History link at the top of the page
