Quality is Key Focus of Plant Certification Awards

The creation of a culture of quality throughout all areas of a plant’s operation is one of the keys to success in the precast industry, according to most veteran precasters. NPCA’s certification program for precast and prestressed plants is the industry’s leading QC program – one that continues to grow as new state DOTs and other regulatory bodies continue to add NPCA certification as a requirement to bid state-funded jobs.

Each year at the Salute to Excellence awards event, NPCA honors the three top-scoring plants in its certification program as the precast industry’s leaders in QC for the past year. The awards were presented at the Salute event during MCPX and the NPCA Winter Conference, Feb. 9 in Denver.

NPCA also recognized the Top 25 scoring plants during a reception at the NPCA Winter Conference. The Quality Assurance Committee created the event to broaden the recognition of top-scoring plants. The Top 25 list represents the top 10 percent of the scores in the plant certification program.
