The Call for Value-Added Septic Tanks: Precast Concrete Answers
TARGETED TRAINING FOR REGULATORS, SANITARIANS AND INSTALLERS

The National Precast Concrete Association proudly presents “The Call for Value-Added Septic Tanks: Precast Concrete Answers,”
an on-site wastewater educational course developed for regulators, sanitarians and installers. The course will be held at
the Colorado Convention Center in Denver Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, in conjunction with the Manufactured Concrete Products
Exposition trade show (MCPX).
With a curriculum developed specifically for regulators, sanitarians and installers, this educational course will provide an
overview of the installation and testing practices to ensure watertight septic systems. The two-hour program will also focus
on value-added options with precast concrete tanks as well as the future of shared, community and cluster on-site systems.
Septic tank regulators, sanitarians and installers are invited to attend this session at no charge, though advance registration is
required. The NPCA on-site educational courses have filled quickly in past years and space is limited. Don’t miss out on the
opportunity to participate!

Course Instructors
Michael R. Miller – Press-Seal Gasket Corp.
For more than 15 years, Mike Miller has served as an
International Sales Manager with Press-Seal Gasket Corp.
An on-site industry veteran, Miller serves on ASTM
International’s Committee C 27 on Concrete Structures and
IAPMO Technical Committees for septic tanks and grease
interceptors. He is also a member of NOWRA. Miller has written
two articles on vacuum testing for MC Magazine, a publication of
NPCA.
Nancy Mayer – Mayer Brothers Inc.
An on-site expert with more than 20 years of experience, Nancy
Mayer is the president of Mayer Brothers Inc. in Elkridge, Md.
She currently sits on the NPCA Grease Interceptor Committee
and formerly served as a member of the Water and Wastewater
Section, on the NPCA Board of Directors and as the NPCA
Educational Foundation Chair. Mayer earned a Bachelor of
Science in chemical engineering and is certified with the
American Concrete Institute.
